The current version of The Retirement Village Handbook is the Second Edition, dated January 2002.
 
However, the summaries in Part 3 have been updated to reflect subsequent legislative amendments as follows:

New South Wales Retirement Villages Act 1999 - as at 8/2/05
bullet
Queensland Retirement Villages Act 1999 - as at 22/4/05
 
The Victorian Retirement Villages Act 1986 has also been materially amended. The amendments affect existing and prospective residents and were introduced in three stages. The respective commencement dates are:
 
bulletStage 1:  23 May 2005
bulletStage 2:  September 2005
bulletStage 3:  March 2006

The Retirement Village Handbook has not been updated to incorporate the amendments and there is no current timetable for this to be done.
